We are dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive community for roleplaying enthusiasts.

Our goal is to provide a space where members can engage in immersive storytelling and build meaningful connections through shared experiences. Thus, we do have some rules.

In-Character Expectations and Guidelines

We prefer our cast to remain largely plain, everyday folk; no voidsent, sin eaters, NPCs, or WoLs.
That said, your character does not have to be Ishgardian or live in Ishgard in order to write with us.
We are lore-compliant, but not strict.
Moral alignment does not matter, but IC actions = IC consequences.
Families and children are welcome at the community center. Please behave appropriately should young ones be present.
It is considered best practice to obtain OOC permission to cause a scene IC before doing so. The courtesy is appreciated.

Out-of-Character Expectations and Guidelines

Our main rule at OWL is to ensure everyone has a friendly role-play experience.

Members must be 21+ OOC.
No OOC discrimination or bigotry.
No god-modding or metagaming.
No ERP in public spaces, please, due to the rule mentioned above regarding families.
- If you wish to include NSFW elements in a thread, discuss that with all involved parties and keep it to DMs / party chat.
- We won't police what you do in private, we just ask that our public spaces be treated with care so they remain accessible.
Dark, mature themes are permitted in the group, but participation in them is not required nor expected.
- We aim to provide options for all manners of writing preference. Just be sure to appropriately tag mature content.
IC ≠ OOC and OOC ≠ IC.
- Separation between character and writer is essential to healthy role-play relationships.
Event DMs have the final say on dice rolls.
Do your best to share the spotlight with your fellow writers.
Please follow the rules of the discord server upon joining.
Please be honest and open to communication with others.
Your voice matters: if you are experiencing an issue, please reach out to the admin team for assistance.
